Bally Takes Over Chiligaming
Bally Technologies, a Vegas based gambling firm, has taken over the online gaming platform, Chiligaming. With this acquisition, the company hopes to provide its customers a unique online casino gambling environment. But, Bally Technology is not keen on launching its own online casino site at the moment. Chiligaming, a European company, has agencies in the UK, Malta and France.
Bally Technologies has announced that it is on the lookout for casino companies that will utilize Chiligaming’s technology to create both real money and free play gambling websites. The Vegas gambling firm has submitted an application to the Nevada Gaming Commission to acquire a license to offer gambling products and services to players in the state. The company will be able to get a license only once the online game rules in the state are established. Bally Technology also plans to step into the area of multi-channel promotions. In addition, it will track players and offer bonus schemes.
Bally Technologies Plans on Expanding its Gaming Business
Bally Technologies plans on using the cost-effective acquisition to expand its gaming business. As the Congress is still debating whether it should provide federal regulation to online gaming sites, most of the gambling firms are concentrating on jurisdictions that have adopted gaming guidelines such as the state of Nevada.
According to John Connelly, Bally Technologies Vice President of Business Development, acquiring Chiligaming will allow the company to provide comprehensive online and traditional casino services to operators around the world. Carlo Santarelli, gaming analyst at Deutsche Bank, has stated that Bally Technologies will be able to improve its online and mobile tracking index which will help its customers.
This takeover follows Bally Technologies’ rival International Game Technology’s acquisition of Double Down Interactive, which designed Double Down Casino on Facebook.
Bally Technologies Likely to Continue Business Momentum
Brian McGill, gaming analyst at Janney Montgomery Scott, stated in his research that Bally Technologies will continue its business momentum. He also mentioned that the company does not rely on the sales of its slot machines for making profits.
The state of Nevada has plans to launch state-regulated online gambling within the year. In case this happens, Bally Technology and other companies in the online gambling industry will benefit. However, they are not expecting high revenues immediately. McGill has said that it will take a federal bill for larger states that have adopted gaming regulations to generate sizeable revenues.

With the acquisition of Chiligaming, Bally Technology will be able to offer a platform that is cloud-based and open. It will enable the company to provide an integrated solution that can be used for online casinos operated across the world. The company also stated that along with buying a company, it has got on board a new team of those who have been in the online casino industry for years. It will help players at casinos using its client make the most of the platform for playing.
The CEO of Chiligaming, Alexander Dreyfus stated that he is sure that by joining with Bally Technology, his company will be able to develop its technology to provide players some of the best casinos.
Following the 2011 Black Friday incident, Chiligaming has been trying to get a foothold in the online gambling industry in the US. The company may be able to do this in the coming months. Chiligaming is set to launch a website through which it will be able to provide free games to online players. This initiative will be facilitated by the agreement it reached with Golden Nugget a few days ago.
